Planning a trip to Kerala?

We might be able to pull a string or two and get a personalised trip arranged. A mixture of home stays & hotels. And a car, if needed.

  5. Hi Hubert,

sorry for the delay. we don’t know about homestays in nashik. can check on the web, but wont’t be able to vouch for it.

on nashik – goa, let me check and revert.

    thanks

  6. hi!

i’m planning a road trip to the nashik valley – in may this year – and would be grateful for yr suggestions/recommendations of good – meaning quite, peaceful, scenic – homestays while we are there.
also, any suggestions for the return drive back to goa??

    thanks & regards

    Hubert

  7. Thanks guys,

n just a note of caution, whn u go to ranthambore dont book the full day safari, they take u in the park n make u sit in the park office for 3 hrs in between two safari’s…so the better option would be to book a morning and a evening safari, in which case ull mite get 2 seperate routes as well…hence exploring a larger area of the park:).

    Deepti

  8. hi deepti,

thanks for the comments. we are planning for a trip to ranthambore soon.

if you are planning to stay on Maharashtra side (Pench-Sillari), you are very unlikely to see a tiger. In case the bookings etc are done here, suggest that you go to MP side for the safari.

we are not sure what is around Pench other than the sanctuary. some people combine Kanha and Pench visits. Kanha is about 170 km from Pench and the journey is supposedly good (we haven’t been to Kanha yet).

    have a nice trip

  9. Hey,

U guys really hv a great site…its interesting to c the places u hv been….i really hope i can visit thm all someday….well since u guys hv been to so many wild life safari’s i think u should try Ranthambore as well…v went there this april n actually caught a glimpse of a tiger on each of our park rounds…….

We are currently planning a trip to Pench, if you could suggest other places to visit while v r there that would be great:) We are planning to be there from 5th to 8th Nov.

    Regards,
    Deepti

  10. hi anupama,
if time is not a constraint, dont take the highway till Hubli/Dharwad.
suggest bangalore-Kunigal-hassan-chikmaglur-shimoga-jog-sirsi-yellapur-dandeli route. might need 2 night stopovers before reaching dandeli.
dandeli to karwar passes through anshi national park. look for some literature on this on the web to make the best of it.

from wayanad to bangalore, there are multiple options. getting into nagarhole national park from manantwady and getting out via Hunsur is a great drive through the park.

karwar to calicut will have enough beach options.

normally we carry all the maps and keep looking for signboards and take on the spur detours. it is a great way of exploring.

    happy journey.
